Best Skin Care Routine for woman in their 40s

The Best Skincare routine I have found THAT WORKS!

Now I am in my 40s, I wanted an easy-to-follow and upkeep skincare routine whilst keeping within a budget, and had to leave my skin soft, nourished, and looking like I did when I was 30!

Not a lot to ask.I  have tried many lotions and potions over the years. But I have finally found products that suit my skin, which can vary from dry to sensitive.

I do not wear any makeup now on my face and I am outside a lot. (beautiful Scottish Highlands Weather!)
SO I am looking for something that will be kind to my skin when the elements are not so forgiving. As I have gotten into my later 40s I have realized my skin needed some TLC. I do not really wear makeup, but I do a lot of work outside, in all weather, this can really dry up my skin. But still have the oily T zone.

I was paying monthly for expensive dermabrasion and facials to help keep my skin looking healthy….and young.

But with Lockdown and having nowhere to go I needed some kind of skincare routine that was easy to do at home.
BUT LOOKS and FEELS like after I have had my skin treatments.

If you’d said to me The Body Shop products would have ticked the boxes I might have laughed. I just remember The Body Shop for being famous for the amazing Smell as you passed by the shop front and its bath bombs and soaps.

Had it not been for an old school friend who then introduced me to The Body Shops Drops of Youth Range.

But one of my friends trialed the Drops of Youth Liquid Peel  and the Drops of youth SERUM (which In my opinion is Like Botox in a bottle!) Holey Shamoley!

In one week of using them, It was like the clock turned back 10 years, gone were the deep crevices, dryness, and all of a sudden well about 2 weeks later she proceeded to share with us the results of her trial and boasted about her dewy glowing skin that we all wish we still had.

It was like shed wiped away a decade off her skin! I was first in line to buy. There is a wonderful range available over at the Body Shop and their collections will suit every skin type.

For me, I have found using the items below the best combination.

1. The Liquid Peel Drops of youth   I love this and use this around 2-3 times a week. A little goes a LONG way.

It gently removes impurities and dead skin from my face (NO harsh scrubbing) This clever gel-to-peel helps leave skin feeling clean and purified from the day and leaves my skin  glowing, and feeling so soft and plump

2. Drops of Youth Concentrate serum is a lightweight serum that gives you that fresh-faced, healthy-looking glow. You know the kind of skin you had pre-responsibilities.

I was initially concerned about the size of the bottle as it’s a lot for being so small! BUT do not be fooled!

You do NOT use a lot of this stuff. I use the drops sparingly over my face, paying closer attention to the creases, like between my eyebrows,  and corners of eyes and mouth,  it has a  gel-like texture that sinks in quickly to leave your skin feeling fresher and replenished. Leaving your skin feeling smoother and plumper

It forms a protective layer on the skin to help it feel strengthened and nourished.

3.  Drops of Youth Day cream to finish.

This does exactly what you need it to do for those who are over 40 and looking for a luxurious cream that will help keep your skin looking beautiful, bouncy, and feeling softer.

My Favourite being their Hemp Hand Cream. Seriously if you buy anything buy this. I have tried every brand of hand cream for my poor outdoor cracked and bleeding hacks on my hands.  Sounds awful but I have horses and always working outside in all weathers.

But this is the best and will actually stop the hot itching, and starts to clear up overnight. I LOVE this hand cream.
